2024 Alegra Red, Douro DOC

What it is: A composed Douro red built around Touriga Nacional, blending structure, aromatic lift, and balance.

Why it matters: Careful extraction in stainless steel followed by partial aging in French oak allows the wine to develop depth and complexity while preserving freshness and elegance.

Tasting notes: Aromatically expressive, with wild blackberry, cherry, and black plum layered with floral violet notes typical of Touriga Nacional. Subtle clove and black pepper emerge from oak aging. On the palate, the wine is dry and well balanced, with firm tannins, bright acidity, and a medium-bodied structure that carries through to a long, lively finish.
