Since 1378, Herdade Paço do Conde has gathered its harvest on the banks of Southern Portugal’s Guadiana River, between Roman ruins and the lost Roman city of Vilares.
For more than three centuries, one family has tended its vines and olive groves. And when the harvest came in, they celebrated the way generations of Portuguese families have — by opening their table to friends and neighbors over wine and good food.
This year’s harvest has just finished, and Carlos Campos is bringing that celebration to Santa Monica, with a place at the table for you.

At the 2025 Sommeliers Choice Awards, Herdade Paço do Conde was named Winery of the Year: Portugal.
The estate’s Reserva White was also named Wine of the Year: Portugal — recognition for a historic Alentejo estate that has quietly remained rooted in family, place, and tradition.
For this gathering, Carlos will guide us through four wines from the estate, sharing the stories behind the vineyards, the harvest, and the family that has cared for this land for generations.

More Harvest Table Than Wine Tasting
This isn’t designed as a formal tasting class. Think of it instead as a place at the harvest table — wine being poured generously, food passed between guests, and Carlos sharing the stories behind the wines as the evening unfolds.
The chef-curated bites are served family-style and made for sharing, allowing each wine to be experienced the way it would be at the estate: alongside food, conversation, and other people.
