Ten different Portuguese grape varieties, typical of the region, are in this wine: Touriga Nacional, Jaen, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, Rufete, Touriga Fêmea, Trincadeira, Bastardo, Alvarelhão, Baga.

Vinification: The grapes were hand harvested in a single plot of old vines with 50 years on average planted in the old fashion of Dão. Their vinification was made together, as they were in the vineyard. Stalk removal, crushing and finally fermentation took place in granite lagar (press) after foot treading of the grapes. A careful maceration was made for best expression and typicity of the grape varieties, privileging the fruit extraction.

Aging: 3rd year used french barrels. Slight clarification and filtration to maintain all its aromatic potential and structure. Natural stabilization - a small sediment may appear.

Tasting Notes: Intense ruby color with aromas of ripe red and black fruit, associated with floral and wild fruit compote notes. Notes typical of the local terroir (pine needles, oak leaves), spicy and balmy. The large variety of grapes also contributes to a wide variety of aromas. In the mouth it is full-bodied with a good balance between acidity and the natural sweetness of the fruit. This wine exhibits a lingering and complex finish.
