2024 Alegra White, Douro DOC
$25.00

Varieties: Gouveio (64%), Rabigato (16%), Moscatel Galego (15%), Arinto (5%)

Vinification: Grapes were hand-harvested and chilled before gentle pressing. After cold settling, fermentation took place at 15°C in stainless steel tanks. Some top lots fermented in 500L used French oak barrels with native yeasts. Lees contact with bâtonnage added texture.

Aging: Aged on fine lees in stainless steel and used oak barrels for added complexity and freshness.

Tasting Notes: The wine shows pronounced aromatic intensity, standing out with fruity notes of apricot, pineapple, and ripe lemon. There is also a delicate floral touch that enriches the overall profile. In the background, complexity arises from oak aging, with subtle hints of vanilla and a light touch of white pepper, adding depth to the olfactory profile.

On the palate, the wine is dry, with high acidity providing notable freshness and liveliness. It is structured, with good body and a texture that fills the mouth in an engaging way. The aromas are confirmed on the palate, with intense and fruity flavors, complemented by lightly integrated oak nuances. The finish is long and memorable.

2024 Alegra Red, Douro DOC
$25.00

Varieties: Touriga Nacional (50% ), Touriga Franca (12%), Others (38%)

Vinification: Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at 28°C. Daily pump-overs were performed to extract just the right amount of color, tannin, and structure, without overwhelming the elegance of the fruit.

Aging: After fermentation, the wine was transferred into 500L French oak barrels for aging. 65% of the wine matured for 12 months in oak barrels (85% used, 15% new), while the remaining 35% rested in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness. All barrels were French oak.

Tasting Notes: The wine reveals pronounced aromatic intensity, with a fruity profile highlighting wild blackberry, cherry, and black plum notes. The presence of typical violet notes, characteristic of the "queen of Portuguese grapes," adds elegance to the wine. Meanwhile, oak aging adds an extra layer of complexity, bringing aromas of clove and black pepper, enriching the wine's aromatic character.

On the palate, the wine is dry and well balanced, with firm and present tannins. The body is medium, but the acidity brings freshness that enlivens the palate, keeping the wine dynamic. The intensity is pronounced, with evident fruit and oak in the background, adding depth and complexity. The finish is long and lively, providing a persistent and satisfying sensation.

$56.00

Varieties: Touriga Nacional (53%), Tinta Roriz (27%), Touriga Franca (16%), Tinta Amarela (4%)

Vinification: The grapes were fully destemmed before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 15 days at a controlled temperature of 22-24ºC. During the first 7 days, daily delestage (rack and return) was performed to enhance extraction.

Aging: The wine was aged for 16 months in second and third-year 500L French oak barrels, with two rackings during this period to further refine its structure and complexity.

Tasting Notes: Black fruit aromas of blackberries and cherries combined with mineral notes of graphite.

On the palate, focused with perfectly ripe and pure red and dark fruits. Tannins are bold combined with the right acidity. The minerality shows on the long finish. This wine has everything to age for many years in bottle.
