The story of Herdade Paço do Conde stretches back to the late 14th century. For more than three centuries, the estate has remained under the stewardship of the Castelo Branco family.
Founded in 1928 as the Agricultural Society Paço do Conde, the estate is still family-run today by José António Ferrão Castelo Branco, Luís Miguel Ferrão Castelo Branco, and Maria Luísa Castelo Branco Schmidt.
Set along the banks of the Guadiana River, the estate spans more than 3,000 hectares where tradition meets modern, sustainable production.
